International Academic Advisor
Emory College of Arts & Sciences
July 2022 - Present
​Work Duties:
Provides academic advising to undergraduate students to supplement faculty advising
Addresses student academic concerns and provides referrals to campus resources
Develops and leads workshops and programs to enhance advising initiatives
Builds links with other university offices and support services such as Campus Life, International Student and Scholar Programs, and the Center for International Programs Abroad
Assists with academic orientation activities including the International Student Welcome
Maintain a proactive advising caseload, including routine and urgent student cases, and meetings with at-risk students.
Make appropriate referrals to offices and resources on campus

ALT (Assistant Language Teacher)
JET Program

Work Duties:
Lead, team-teach (collaborate), or assist classes with JTE (Japanese Teachers of English)
Attend professional meetings, conferences, and workshops to maintain and improve professional competence
Observe and evaluate students' work to determine progress and make suggestions for improvement
Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities
Use computers, audio-visual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations
Coaching students entering Prefecture-wide English speech contests

Prefectural District Representative

Present at the Saga Prefectural Orientation and other Saga JET conferences
Organize and lead local District Orientation for new JET’s, and be a source of advice, guidance, and understanding

JLPT N3
December 2019
Passing the JLPT N3, this means that I having an upper-intermediate level of Japanese. I can function in everyday situations, as well as read newspaper materials on specific topics. I plan to take the JLPT N2 in the up-coming year for my business level certification.
TEFL -Teaching English as a Foreign Language
October 2020
I received my TEFL certificate from TEFL Pro's after participating in their 120 hour course. In this course, I created original lesson plans for the four areas of learning (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
